Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Moonah in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (444 people or 18.8%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (247 people or 10.5%)
  • Retail Trade (223 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 914 people in total or 38.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Glenorchy City employed 17.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.7% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 10.9% in Retail Trade.
