There were more female professionals in Carnegie in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Carnegie in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,006 females or 39.6%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (862 females or 17.0%)
  • Managers (644 females or 12.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 3,512 females in total or 69.4% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Glen Eira employed 38.5% in Professionals; 17.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 14.1% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Carnegie and the City of Glen Eira were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (39.6% compared to 38.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (12.7% compared to 14.1%)
