Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Corio in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Labourers (1,212 people or 21.1%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (868 people or 15.1%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (862 people or 15.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,942 people in total or 51.2% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Geelong employed 9.6% in Labourers; 14.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 13.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
