Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Maryborough in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (1,535 people or 16.6%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,363 people or 14.8%)
  • Labourers (1,245 people or 13.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 4,143 people in total or 44.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Fraser Coast Regional Council employed 16.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 14.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 12.3% in Labourers.
