Analysis of the highest level of schooling attained by the population in Tablelands (R) in 2021 compared to Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) shows that there was a lower proportion of people who had left school at an early level (Year 10 or less) and a higher proportion of people who completed Year 12 or equivalent.
Overall, 39.5% of the population left school at Year 10 or below, and 40.8% went on to complete Year 12 or equivalent, compared with 43.5% and 33.5% respectively for Hope Vale Aboriginal (S).
The major differences between the level of schooling attained by the population in Tablelands (R) and Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) were:
- A larger percentage of persons who completed year 12 or equivalent (40.8% compared to 33.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons who completed year 10 or equivalent (27.7% compared to 23.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who completed year 11 or equivalent (8.1% compared to 13.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who completed year 8 or below (5.5% compared to 10.4%)
