Analysis of the highest level of schooling attained by the population in Tablelands (R) in 2021 compared to Etheridge (S) shows that there was a lower proportion of people who had left school at an early level (Year 10 or less) and a higher proportion of people who completed Year 12 or equivalent.
Overall, 39.5% of the population left school at Year 10 or below, and 40.8% went on to complete Year 12 or equivalent, compared with 43.9% and 34.2% respectively for Etheridge (S).
The major differences between the level of schooling attained by the population in Tablelands (R) and Etheridge (S) were:
- A larger percentage of persons who completed year 12 or equivalent (40.8% compared to 34.2%)
- A larger percentage of persons who completed year 11 or equivalent (8.1% compared to 6.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who completed year 8 or below (5.5% compared to 8.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who completed year 9 or equivalent (5.9% compared to 7.4%)
