Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in FNQROC region in 2021 compared to Cairns (R) shows that there was a lower proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of males with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 49.0% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 37.8% had no qualifications, compared with 52.8% and 34.8% respectively for Cairns (R).
The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of FNQROC region and Cairns (R) were:
- A larger percentage of males with No qualifications (37.8% compared to 34.8%)
- A smaller percentage of males with Bachelor or Higher degrees (12.0% compared to 14.7%)
- A smaller percentage of males with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (7.2% compared to 8.3%)
