Analysis of the qualifications of the population in Cassowary Coast (R) in 2021 compared to Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 40.8% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 45.2% had no qualifications, compared with 35.5% and 51.3% respectively for Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S).
The major differences between qualifications held by the population of Cassowary Coast (R) and Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) were:
- A larger percentage of persons with Bachelor or Higher degrees (10.1% compared to 1.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (7.1% compared to 3.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons with Vocational qualifications (23.7% compared to 30.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons with No qualifications (45.2% compared to 51.3%)
