An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Cook (S) in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (213 females or 24.7%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (154 females or 17.9%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (146 females or 17.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 513 females in total or 59.6% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Regional QLD employed 22.6% in Professionals; 19.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 19.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Cook (S) and Regional QLD were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (15.1% compared to 10.1%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (12.2% compared to 8.7%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (6.7% compared to 11.7%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (17.0% compared to 19.2%)
