An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Cook (S) in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

In comparison, Etheridge (S) employed 35.7% in Managers; 9.3% in Professionals; and 21.2% in Labourers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Cook (S) and Etheridge (S) were:

- A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (12.0% compared to 5.9%)
