Analysis of individual income levels in FNQROC region in 2021 compared to Cairns (R) shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 7.7% of the population earned a high income, and 31.5% earned a low income, compared with 9.1% and 29.0% respectively for Cairns (R).
The major differences between FNQROC region's individual incomes and Cairns (R)'s individual incomes were:
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $300 - $399 (8.0% compared to 6.8%)
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $400 - $499 (8.2% compared to 7.3%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (5.3% compared to 6.3%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $1,250 - $1,499 (6.2% compared to 7.0%)
