Analysis of the household/family types in Tablelands (R) in 2021 compared to Douglas (S) shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 18.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.5% were one-parent families, compared with 16.4% and 7.1% respectively for Douglas (S).
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.2% compared to 22.9% in Douglas (S) while the proportion of couples without children was 29.1% compared to 26.8% in Douglas (S).
