Analysis of household income levels in Cook (S) in 2021 compared to Cassowary Coast (R) shows that there was a larger proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 12.8% of the households earned a high income and 26.1% were low income households, compared with 10.2% and 29.4% respectively for Cassowary Coast (R).
The major differences between the household incomes of Cook (S) and Cassowary Coast (R) were:
- A larger percentage of households who earned Not stated (15.1% compared to 9.9%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $800 - $999 (6.4% compared to 8.7%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $650 - $799 (6.7% compared to 8.8%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $400 - $499 (6.5% compared to 7.7%)
