Analysis of the share of the female population attending educational institutions in Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) in 2021 compared to Hinchinbrook (S) shows that there was a higher proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a lower proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 14.0% of the female population were attending primary school, 3.2% of the female population were attending secondary institutions, and 1.9% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 6.5%, 5.9% and 3.1% respectively for Hinchinbrook (S).
The major differences between the share of the female population attending learning institutions in Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) and Hinchinbrook (S) were:
- A larger percentage of females attending a Government primary school (14.0% compared to 3.4%)
- A larger percentage of females attending a primary school (any type) (14.0% compared to 6.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females not attending (71.3% compared to 75.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females attending a Catholic primary school (0.0% compared to 3.0%)
