In 2021, there were 11,334 separate houses in the area, 843 medium density dwellings, and no high density dwellings. In addition, there were 647 caravans/cabins/houseboats in the area.
Analysis of the types of dwellings in Tablelands (R) in 2021 shows that 86.4% of all dwellings were separate houses; 6.4% were medium density dwellings, and 0% were in high density dwellings, compared with 87.2%, 12.8%, and 0.0% in the Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) respectively.
In 2021, a total of 88.1% of the dwellings in Tablelands (R) were occupied on Census night, compared to 90.2% in Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S). The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 11.4%, which is larger compared to that found in Wujal Wujal Aboriginal (S) (9.8%).
