Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Mareeba (S) in 2021 compared to Australia shows that 82.8% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.8% did not, compared with 87.6% and 7.1% respectively in Australia.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 30.5% of the households owned one car; 31.7% owned two cars; and 20.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.1%; 34.6% and 17.9% respectively for Australia.
