Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings in Cook (S) in 2021 compared to Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) shows that there was a higher proportion of dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a lower proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 50.2% of households were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 10.1% of 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 28.9% and 21.6% for Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling of Cook (S) and Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) were:
- A larger percentage of dwellings with 1 or no bedrooms (includes bedsitters) (34.2% compared to 11.8%)
- A smaller percentage of 3 bedroom dwellings (19.4% compared to 42.0%)
- A smaller percentage of 4 bedroom dwellings (8.0% compared to 19.3%)
- A smaller percentage of 2 bedroom dwellings (16.0% compared to 17.0%)
