Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Thornbury in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (4,350 people or 39.6%)
  • Managers (1,750 people or 15.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,230 people or 11.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,330 people in total or 66.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Reservoir (Oakhill) employed 26.0% in Professionals; 11.2% in Managers; and 12.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
