Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Darebin in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (11,874 males or 30.2%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (6,511 males or 16.5%)
  • Managers (5,975 males or 15.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 24,360 males in total or 61.9% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 23.6% in Professionals; 19.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 16.1% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Darebin and Greater Melbourne were:
