The size of Preston (West)'s female labour force in 2021 was 4,739, of which 1,902 were employed part-time and 2,275 were full time workers.
Analysis of the female employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Preston (West) in 2021 compared to the City of Darebin shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 95.1% of the female labour force was employed, and 4.9% unemployed, compared with 95.2% and 4.8% respectively for the City of Darebin.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the female population in Preston (West) in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (67.1%) compared with the City of Darebin (63.7%).
