Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Western Sydney (LGA) in 2021 compared to North Sydney Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 50.7% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 40.8% had no qualifications, compared with 76.4% and 16.8% respectively for North Sydney Council area.

The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Western Sydney (LGA) and North Sydney Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females with No qualifications (40.8% compared to 16.8%)
