Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lidcombe in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,430 people or 15.4%)
- Retail Trade (855 people or 9.2%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (811 people or 8.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 3,096 people in total or 33.3% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Cumberland City employed 14.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.9% in Retail Trade; and 6.0% in Accommodation and Food Services.
