Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Tranmere in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (362 people or 16.8%)
  • Education and Training (242 people or 11.2%)
  • Retail Trade (220 people or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 824 people in total or 38.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Campbelltown employed 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.4% in Education and Training; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the population of Tranmere and the City of Campbelltown was:

  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in construction (7.1% compared to 8.2%)
