Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Byron Bay in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (732 people or 23.1%)
  • Managers (559 people or 17.7%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (471 people or 14.9%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,762 people in total or 55.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Suffolk Park - Broken Head employed 28.0% in Professionals; 18.1% in Managers; and 12.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Byron Bay and Suffolk Park - Broken Head were:
