Analysis of the household/family types in Ward 1 in 2021 compared to Bayside Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 30.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.8% were one-parent families, compared with 28.8% and 9.6% respectively for Bayside Council area.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.6% compared to 24.0% in Bayside Council area while the proportion of couples without children was 21.3% compared to 24.7% in Bayside Council area.
