Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for children aged 0 to 4 years in the City of Ballarat in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Ballarat, shows that there was a lower proportion of children aged 0 to 4 years in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 5.8% of children aged 0 to 4 years were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 50.0% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 11.5% and 42.0% for the total population in the City of Ballarat respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling children aged 0 to 4 years in the City of Ballarat and the total population in the City of Ballarat were:
