Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Paraburdoo in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Mining (409 people or 62.2%)
  • Education and Training (39 people or 5.9%)
  • Administrative and Support Services (29 people or 4.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 477 people in total or 72.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Ashburton employed 48.3% in Mining; 6.6% in Education and Training; and 4.0% in Administrative and Support Services.
