Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Yakamia in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (211 people or 17.0%)
  • Retail Trade (164 people or 13.2%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (105 people or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 480 people in total or 38.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Albany employed 16.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Retail Trade; and 7.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Yakamia and the City of Albany were:
