Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Koonawarra in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (229 people or 16.4%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (228 people or 16.3%)
  • Labourers (210 people or 15.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 667 people in total or 47.8% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Bellambi employed 15.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 18.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 11.2% in Labourers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Koonawarra and Bellambi were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (10.7% compared to 6.8%)
