Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Burwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (620 females or 21.2%)
  • Education and Training (452 females or 15.5%)
  • Retail Trade (346 females or 11.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,418 females in total or 48.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Blackburn North employed 24.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.9% in Education and Training; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
