Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Burwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (620 females or 21.2%)
- Education and Training (452 females or 15.5%)
- Retail Trade (346 females or 11.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,418 females in total or 48.5% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Blackburn North employed 24.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.9% in Education and Training; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Burwood and Blackburn North were:
