Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of people aged 65 years or more in the City of Whitehorse in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
The major differences between qualifications held by people aged 65 years or more of the City of Whitehorse and Greater Melbourne were:
- A larger percentage of people with Bachelor or Higher degrees (23.6% compared to 18.0%)
- A larger percentage of people with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (10.8% compared to 8.5%)
- A smaller percentage of people with No qualifications (43.9% compared to 49.6%)
