Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for people aged 12 to 25 years in the City of Whitehorse in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne, shows that there was a higher proportion of people aged 12 to 25 years in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a lower proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 13.8% of people aged 12 to 25 years were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 50.8% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 11.5% and 52.4% for Greater Melbourne respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling people aged 12 to 25 years in the City of Whitehorse and Greater Melbourne were:
