Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Wagga Wagga City in 2021 compared to Rural West shows that 88.6% of the households owned at least one car, while 5.9% did not, compared with 89.5% and 2.1% respectively in Rural West.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a similar proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 33.3% of the households owned one car; 36.2% owned two cars; and 19.1% owned three cars or more, compared with 17.6%; 36.5% and 35.4% respectively for Rural West.
