Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Annandale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (836 people or 19.6%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (562 people or 13.2%)
  • Education and Training (535 people or 12.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,933 people in total or 45.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Black River - Alice River - Hervey Range employed 13.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.4% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.1% in Education and Training.
