Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Woombye in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (390 people or 19.3%)
  • Construction (250 people or 12.4%)
  • Retail Trade (218 people or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 858 people in total or 42.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Doonan (part) - Weyba Downs - Verrierdale - Peregian Beach (part) employed 13.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.9% in Construction; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Woombye and Doonan (part) - Weyba Downs - Verrierdale - Peregian Beach (part) were:
