Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Woombye in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (390 people or 19.3%)
  • Construction (250 people or 12.4%)
  • Retail Trade (218 people or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 858 people in total or 42.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Buderim - Kuluin - Mons - Kunda Park employed 19.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.4% in Construction; and 9.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Woombye and Buderim - Kuluin - Mons - Kunda Park were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (12.4% compared to 10.4%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (10.8% compared to 9.1%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (2.1% compared to 0.8%)
