Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Southern Asian languages speaking resident population in City of Stonnington in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (880 people or 40.7%)
- Managers (256 people or 11.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (203 people or 9.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,339 people in total or 61.9% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 28.6% in Professionals; 9.8% in Managers; and 10.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Southern Asian languages speaking population of the City of Stonnington and Greater Melbourne were:
