Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the Chinese languages speaking population in the City of Stonnington in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a larger proportion of people born overseas.

Overall, 83.1% of the Chinese languages speaking population was born overseas, compared with 80.4% for Greater Melbourne.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the Chinese languages speaking population in the City of Stonnington and Greater Melbourne were:
