Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Armadale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (962 people or 17.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (778 people or 14.4%)
  • Retail Trade (468 people or 8.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,208 people in total or 40.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Stonnington employed 17.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 13.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.8% in Retail Trade.
