Analysis of the car ownership of the households in East Ward in 2021 compared to Malvern - Kooyong shows that 88.3% of the households owned at least one car, while 8.2% did not, compared with 91.7% and 5.1% respectively in Malvern - Kooyong.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a similar proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 41.4% of the households owned one car; 34.3% owned two cars; and 12.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 41.1%; 35.0% and 15.6% respectively for Malvern - Kooyong.
