Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in SSROC region in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a higher proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of males with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 60.7% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 30.8% had no qualifications, compared with 58.3% and 33.7% respectively for Greater Sydney.
The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of SSROC region and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of males with Bachelor or Higher degrees (36.1% compared to 31.6%)
- A smaller percentage of males with No qualifications (30.8% compared to 33.7%)
- A smaller percentage of males with Vocational qualifications (15.7% compared to 18.2%)
