Analysis of the monthly housing loan repayments of households in Canada Bay City compared to Waverley Council Area shows that there was a smaller proportion of households paying high mortgage repayments ($2,600 per month or more), and a larger proportion of households with low mortgage repayments (less than $1,200 per month).
Overall, 53.5% of households were paying high mortgage repayments, and 12.9% were paying low repayments, compared with 60.7% and 12.3% respectively in Waverley Council Area.
The major differences between the household loan repayments of Canada Bay City and Waverley Council Area were:
- A larger percentage of $3,000-$3,999 (17.5% compared to 14.7%)
- A larger percentage of $2,000 - $2,199 (7.3% compared to 5.4%)
- A larger percentage of $2,400-$2,599 (4.7% compared to 2.9%)
- A smaller percentage of $5000 and over (17.4% compared to 29.7%)
