Analysis of household income levels in SSROC region in 2021 compared to Sutherland Shire shows that there was a smaller proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 31.8% of the households earned a high income and 18.0% were low income households, compared with 35.1% and 15.9% respectively for Sutherland Shire.
The major differences between the household incomes of SSROC region and Sutherland Shire were:
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $3,500 - $3,999 (4.5% compared to 5.7%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $3,000 - $3,499 (6.9% compared to 7.9%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $5,000 - $5,999 (4.3% compared to 5.3%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $2,500 - $2,999 (6.6% compared to 7.6%)
