Analysis of household income levels in SSROC region in 2021 compared to Bayside Council area shows that there was a larger proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 31.8% of the households earned a high income and 18.0% were low income households, compared with 26.1% and 19.2% respectively for Bayside Council area.
The major differences between the household incomes of SSROC region and Bayside Council area were:
- A larger percentage of households who earned $4,500 - $4,999 (6.5% compared to 4.5%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $6,000 - $7,999 (4.8% compared to 2.9%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $8,000 or more (2.0% compared to 0.8%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $5,000 - $5,999 (4.3% compared to 3.2%)
