Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in South Perth in 2021 compared to Karawara shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 19.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 5.8% were one-parent families, compared with 28.3% and 10.2% respectively for Karawara.
