Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Bombala in 2021 compared to Rural East shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 36.5% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 51.7% had no qualifications, compared with 48.2% and 39.2% respectively for Rural East.

The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Bombala and Rural East were:

  • A larger percentage of females with No qualifications (51.7% compared to 39.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (11.8% compared to 22.7%)
