Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (1,470 people or 13.3%)
  • Construction (1,093 people or 9.9%)
  • Retail Trade (975 people or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,538 people in total or 32.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 7.5% in Accommodation and Food Services; 9.4% in Construction; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
