Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in Darling Downs area in 2021 compared to Hopeland - Keysbrook and SW rural area shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 18.1% of the population earned a high income, and 31.8% earned a low income, compared with 10.8% and 37.6% respectively for Hopeland - Keysbrook and SW rural area.

The major differences between Darling Downs area's individual incomes and Hopeland - Keysbrook and SW rural area's individual incomes were:
