Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Little Bay in 2021 compared to South Coogee shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 30.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.8% were one-parent families, compared with 33.3% and 10.6% respectively for South Coogee.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 27.3% compared to 29.4% in South Coogee while the proportion of couples without children was 29.2% compared to 16.9% in South Coogee.
