Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Port Phillip in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (12,379 people or 40.2%)
- Managers (5,734 people or 18.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (4,770 people or 15.5%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 22,883 people in total or 74.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Port Phillip - Total population employed 38.1% in Professionals; 20.4% in Managers; and 11.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Port Phillip and City of Port Phillip - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (15.5% compared to 11.3%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (40.2% compared to 38.1%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (10.5% compared to 8.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (3.7% compared to 7.6%)
